The Burkhart Center for Autism Education & Research - Texas Tech.

Named for Jim and Jere Lynn Burkhart who have made significant contributions to the establishment and mission of the Center, the center officially opened in October of 2005.

Our mission is to increase the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families by providing services, preparing educators, and conducting research.

From the center's new facility on the Texas Tech campus, Family & Community Services are provided including: Outpatient Services, Early Intervention Services, Family Resource Support Line & Online Forum, Burkhart Transition Academy, Project CASE: Connections for Academic Success and Employment, The West Texas Community Network, Burkhart Walk for Autism Awareness, Camp Burkhart, Family Fun Days, Parents' Night Out, Saturday Workshop Series and more.
