Description

The South Plains Autism Network was established in 2002 by a group of parents and professionals interested in autism.

SPAN was formed to provide resources and support to families of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. SPAN provides a wonderful opportunity for families to meet other families coping with autism.

SPAN works in conjunction with the Burkhart Center to assist families by offering educational seminars, support group meetings and information on community resources.

SPAN meets at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th Tuesday of each month during the school year. Childcare is provided by students from TTUHSC Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences.

SPAN provides a loaner library consisting of educational and inspirational books and videos for parents to check out.

If you have any questions, you can contact Sherry Sancibrian at 743-5660 ext. 232.
