Description
Gardening Camp for Kids - Spring Break @ The Arboretum! For kids 6-12 yrs. $50.The week of 3/16- 3/20 M-F 9:00am-12:00pm. Nurture your child's love of nature! Enroll them in this exciting hands-on gardening camp at the Arboretum.
Youth 6-12. (3 hr per day, 5 days).
Cost: $50 for the whole week!
Location: Lubbock Memorial Arboretum Interpretive Center (the little red brick house), located at 4111 University Avenue. Call to register (806) 797-4520.
The camp is a great experience for the younger ones to learn about gardening as well as the natural environment. Last year campers to learned how to grow their own vegetables, identified beneficial insects and invertebrates, and became artists by painting with soil. Camp lessons are lead by experienced instructors such as Lubbock Master Gardeners, Texas Master Naturalists and Texas Tech graduate students.
