Description

Sat. 7/22 from 9am-5pm: The Annual "Archaeology in Action" event at the Lubbock Lake Landmark. Free!

Here's your chance to see "archaeology in action" as you interact with the excavators and the lab crew. Visit all of the places not usually open to the public during this special event! This is the one and only day when the field crew interacts with the public as visitors can see the excavation sites up close. Also, visitors can see the Quaternary Research Center where much of the work and research is ongoing.

Join us for activities including:
Simulated Archaeology Excavations, Pottery Puzzles, Animal Track Art, Spear Throwing, Mammoth Walk.

Tours to this year's excavation and to the lab begin in the Interpretive Center.

Make plans now to attend one of the Landmark's most popular events!
