"76 trombones led the big parade..." Visit the Moonlight Musicals Amphitheatre this summer to see our colorful production of the family hit-musical, Meredith Willson's "The Music Man", set against the beautiful outdoor setting of Lubbock's Mackenzie Park.

Set in the fictional town of River City, Iowa, "The Music Man" centers around Harold Hill, a traveling salesman and phony music professor, who is attempting to unload his wares on the unsuspecting residents of River City before his rivals arrive. Unsuspecting, that is, except for the local music teacher and librarian, Ms. Marian Paroo. Things go according to Prof. Hill's plan, until he begins to fall for Ms. Mariann, the one woman in town determined to have nothing to do with him.

Filled with ballads, such as, "Goodnight My Someone", and colossal numbers like "The Wells Fargo Wagon", this is a show for all ages! Last produced by Lubbock Moonlight Musicals in 2008, we are so thrilled to have Prof. Harold Hill, Ms. Marian, and the rest of River City joining us on the Amphitheatre stage once again.
